Using AudioDigest MP3 files

Saint Mary's subscribes to five AudioDigest titles:  Emergency Medicine, Family Practice, General Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Orthopaedics. 

• While on campus at Saint Mary's, obtain Saint Mary's username and password from the A-to-Z list by searching for the AudioDigest title you wish to use.
• Go to the AudioDigest website at http://www.audiodigest.com
• On AudioDigest Foundation's Home page, sign in using Saint Mary's username and password in the upper left corner.  This should take you to an Online Services
  page that says "Welcome Back: Institution" at the top.
• Click  Online CME/CE - MyCasts / MP3casts. This will take you to a page titled MyCasts.
• Select the title you wish to listen to, and indicate the Volume and Issue.  The site requires 2 digits for issue numbers, so issue #1 = 01
  • Emergency Medicine:  Online issues are available beginning with v. 23 (2006), issue 07.   24 issues per year.
  • Family Practice:  Online issues begin with v. 54 (2006), issue 14.  48 issues per year; however, Saint Mary's subscription includes only even-numbered issues.
  • General Surgery: Online issues begin with v. 53 (2006), issue 07. 24 issues per year.
  • Internal Medicine: Online issues begin with v. 53 (2006), issue 07. 24 issues per year.
  • Orthopaedics: Online issues begin with v. 29 (2006), issue 04. 12 issues per year.
• The issue you selected will appear at the top of the MyCasts page.  Click the issue title to see the links for the objectives, written summary, and MP3 audio files.

Tips for finding the topics of AudioDigest issues

1. At the AudioDigest website home page, select Search/Browse in the Contents box on the left side of the page. 
2. Select the series title of your choice to display the topics of each issue. 
3. Note the volume and issue number of the item of interest. Do not "add to cart."
4. Select Online Services at the top of the page.
5. Click Online CME/CE - MyCasts/MP3casts on the Online Services page to get to the MyCasts page.
6. Use the dropdown box on the MyCasts page page to select the series title, then type the volume and issue numbers in the appropriate boxes. The issue selected will appear at the top of the MyCasts page. Click the issue title to see the links for the objectives, written summary, and MP3 audio files.
